About Sam

The teachings of Sam are grounded, wise and deeply intuitive.

Sam's teachings resonate with a profound and grounded wisdom, reflecting a deep sense of intuition. Known for her vibrant energy, kindness, and adventurous spirit, Samantha Lee pours her entire being into her yoga classes and educational pursuits, guiding participants on expansive journeys through the inner layers of the human experience.

She grew up in a small town in Dublin exploring the forest, bathing in the sea and connecting to nature. Her depth of vision grew here like roots through the forest floor. She explored the world through dance, swimming, drama, and art. She discovered how life breathes through you when you are in movement’s thrall

Her initial encounter with complete embodiment and divine connection occurred in a meditation class during secondary school, led by a nun in a serene prayer room adorned with cushions, candles, and an air of sweetness. This method became a valuable tool during exams and persisted into her college years.

Embarking on a global journey at the age of 25, Sam explored South America, New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia, immersing herself in diverse cultures, cuisines, and adventurous landscapes. Australia became a significant chapter in her life, where she deepened her yoga practice. Contrasting with her earlier experiences in Ireland, Australian yoga spaces were expansive, modern, and focused on anatomical alignment, yet still maintained a meditative essence with elements of traditional teachings. Classes with titles like "power flow" and "energy hour" featured young, athletic, and vibrant teachers. This marked the beginning of Sam's daily yoga practice and a profound love for all aspects of yoga.

Sam's journey into a career in yoga unfolded when Orla Fitzgerald suggested she become a teacher and delve deeper into self-discovery. Inspired by mentors like Allison Eaton and Mercy (Bhakima) from her 200-hour training at Yandara in Mexico, Sam developed a passion for understanding the human condition. Her career in yoga challenged her to be fully alive, always attuned to the highest truth, the deepest narrative, and the most integral ways she could serve the world. Through this path, she learned that there are no mistakes, recognizing that each individual's storyline is a unique, genius script designed to offer the highest education, never to be replicated.

Yoga has been an integral part of Sam’s life for over a decade. Its benefits extend past the physical, bringing peace and calm to an anxious mind, and teaching her how to use her breath and body to cultivate more compassion and self-awareness. Yoga taught her how to let go of fear, and how to embrace, trust, and send love to every part of herself.

Sam’s teaching journey started with Yandara on the west coast of Mexico, surrounded by nature, desert terrain drifted into the Pacific Ocean, humpback whales serenaded the morning practice, and at night critters scurried outside her tent. Her experience was incomprehensible. Every day brought a new gift, deep embodiment, and long-lasting friendships.

Sam's classes provide her students with a unique experience of deep embodied connection, empowering movements, and mindfulness. She skillfully combines a playful approach with traditional wisdom and anatomical alignments, infusing her teachings with a modern flare.

Beyond her regular classes, Sam's passion for sharing knowledge and empowering others has led her to host workshops, talks, and retreats in Ireland and abroad on an annual basis.
